Raphael Donkor

Pastor Raphael Donkor was brought up in Ghana (West Africa) as a devout Catholic. He began serving Mass from a young age. When he was in his first year as a Science student at the University of Ghana, he received the infilling or baptism of the Holy Spirit. This experience led him to change his religious affiliation and became his call into ministry.

Having served as a missionary in Nigeria, Benin, Togo & South Africa from a young age of 22, he later received a Macedonian call to come to North America after his Master of Arts (MA) in 2015. He came to Regent College in Vancouver, Canada on scholarship and obtained his MDiv & ThM degrees in 2020 & 2023 respectively.

Ps. Raphael also served as a student intern pastor with Coquitlam Presbyterian Church from 2018 to 2019. Before taking the role of Director of Discipleship in 2023 to 2024 with Hillside Christian Church, he worked with Air Canada and Trinity Western University as a Customer Experience Specialist and Graduate Writing Coach respectively.

He enjoys listening to hours of teaching tapes and reading autobiographies. He carries an empathetic love for people and in his leisure delights in: long walks in the woods, table & long tennis, basketball & pickle. He is married to Tomi — with a medical background on the way to becoming a registered clinical counsellor (RCC). They have three daughters: Yovela [7yr], Moriela [4yr], Uriela [1yr].
